EARLY TERMINATION OF PROBATION

Florida law allows an individual on probation to petition for early termination of probation after completion of half of their probation term and completion of all conditions, unless that right is restricted.

ELIGIBILITY FOR EARLY TERMINATION

To be eligible to petition for early termination of probation, the probationer
must have:

  • Completed at least half of your probation term if a felony
  • Completed all conditions of probation imposed by the court
  • Have not been found to be in violation of probation
  • Paid restitution and all financial obligations imposed by the court

It is important to note that early termination of probation is a discretionary act of the court. The court is not obligated to grant early termination of probation unless the court made it automatic.
