In a case of fatality caused by a motor vehicle, a car accident occurred in Lakeland, Florida, at 6:5 p.m. on Marcum Road. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said that a 58-year-old man was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette heading east on Markum Road by Estate Road. He slammed his car into the rear of a Ford F-150. The Ford truck spun several times and flipped many times as well. The driver of the Ford truck was thrown from his vehicle and landed on the north side sidewalk.
Can you imagine this? Driving along and suddenly your vehicle is flipping and spinning and you land on a sidewalk barley alive. Sometimes, there is no defensive driving that you can do, you are not at fault and you are severely injured.
While the truck was spinning and flipping, it hit the left rear of a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. This car was driven by a 46-year-old man from Lakeland.
After hitting the Ford truck and causing havoc, the Corvette went on and travelled east in the westbound lanes of Marcum Road. It ran into a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro that was being driven by a 26-year-old man from Lakeland as well.
The Corvette hit the left side of the Camaro and stopped after driving over a curb and onto a sidewalk. It came to a stop on the westbound lanes but was facing eastward.
The driver of the Ford truck was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident while the driver of the Camaro was taken to Lakeland Regional Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Corvette was treated for minor injuries and released. They were all wearing safety belts.
Calling in a legal professional at a time like this may be a wise idea.
